Most Saturdays I head over to Cafe Rouge with T… This time around we tried out the Meat Lovers Breakfast Poutine. Outstanding!

Home fries, sausage, bacon, ham, curd cheese, holland sauce and two fried eggs… I'll be back for sure - we loved it!

Gibeau Orange Julep - 2014

Gearing up for Poutine Week in Montreal, took my youngest to the Orange Julep to sample their excellent grub. I have heard that it is suppose to be the cities' best; pretty darn good - The double fried  fries, a deep rich brown gravy with squeaky curd... Spoil yourself, eat it in your car, and smile all the way home.

The Perfect Poutine - 2013

This poutine came from a brew pub in Dunham, QC... It had a pepper sauce and was a bit creamy in texture. The fries we ok, but needed a bit more crisp, the cheese was too cool, thus never married very well with everything else... Overall ok!

This was from the Pataterie in Bedford, QC which I think is one of the best! It could have been better, because it was rather early in the day and the sauce still needed to reduce. The fries are crazy good, the cheese succulent. Still one of my favourite.

In my continued effort to try newness, I went to a smoke meat shop after a long day of shopping. The meat had just the right amount of fat to meat, and smokey to salty. The Poutine was delectable, the sauce was sweet, maybe a tab much, but the fries, crispy and texture solid...
